  • Pet Loss & Grief

Every loss is unique and every loss matters. Whether your experienced loss is from separation/runaway, death, or another factor, I am here to support you. In focusing your treatment on the loss and grief of your beloved pet, together we will find healthy ways for you to cope with your emotions, make meaning of events, and integrate grief and loss into your life.

  • Compassion Fatigue

Compassion fatigue describes the physical, emotional, and psychological effects on caregivers. The name says it all; experiencing fatigue while being compassionate toward others. When experiencing compassion fatigue, it is common to feel stressed, overwhelmed, helpless, hopeless or powerless, anxious, depressed, a decreased sense of personal/professional accomplishment, and so on. Those who are impacted by compassion fatigue can feel like the effort they are putting in isn’t enough and often blame themselves for not enough being done to help others in need. Compassion fatigue is heavily seen throughout the veterinary profession, but is also seen in pet owners when caregiving to their special needs, ill, or dying pet(s).
